The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) ended on the 7th of December but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t anything that can be done about your coverage. If you are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage (MA) there is Medicare Advantage Enrollment period that runs January 1st though March 31st. During this time anyone with MA plan can make a one time change to another MA plan or choose to go back to Original Medicare. If you switched to a new plan during AEP is quite important to try out your new plan during this time. Make sure your doctors and hospitals take the coverage and ensure that you medications are covered. If you wait until after March 31st you will be stuck on your plan for the remainder of the year.
