Medicare Cost Changes for 2022

The costs for Medicare are increasing for 2022.  The monthly premium for Part B of Medicare is increasing $21.60 per month to $170.10.  The annual Medicare Part B deductible is increasing from $203 to $233 per year.  These increases are driven mostly by the rising prices and increase use of the health care system.  The Medicare Part A deductible is also increasing to $1556 per year.

Anyone with a Plan F Medicare Supplement won’t notice these changes because your policy will cover any increases in cost.  Anyone with a Plan G Medicare Supplement will pay a higher deductible for 2022 but the lower monthly premiums will offset most of this cost when compared to a Plan F premium.
