The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) ended on December 7th. During AEP a Medicare client can make any changes to their MA or PDP coverage. Medicare has a second enrollment period known as Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (MA-OEP) that runs January 1st to March 31st. A client must be enrolled in a MA to take advantage of the opportunities during the MA-OEP. During the MA-OEP a client can switch from MA to a different MA or MA to Original Medicare. Any changes made during this time will take effect the 1st of following month.
