My spouse and I just had a child. We are currently on my wife’s insurance but she is going to be changing careers to become a full time mom. We are looking for some new health insurance but we need it to cover all the various shots that newborns get. Does the PALIC plan cover these shots?
Yes, the PALIC HSP Gold plan does pay for newborn shots. It does so under the Preventative Care benefits meaning it will pay $250 per calendar year. There is, however, a 60 day waiting period from the beginning of the policy. This means that the policy will NOT pay for the shots until after you had the policy for 2 months.
